Mercedes Supports Equality Through F1 Car Design

Lewis Hamilton is the first black F1 driver .

Mercedes racing drivers Hamilton and Bottas will be racing in black cars and jumpsuits this season, Formula 1 has announced.

Mercedes racing drivers Hamilton and Bottas will be racing in black cars and jumpsuits this season, Formula 1 has announced.

The team are fiercely supporting the equality movement Black Lives Matter, and have made the changes to stand against discrimination and racism as well as pledge to improve diversity within their team. Lewis Hamilton is the first black racing driver in the history of F1.

Formula 1 have also announced their initiative #WeRaceAsOne, as well as a working group to identify opportunities for underrepresented groups.
