BP to Step Away from Fossil Fuels

BP have announced a dramatic reduction in the value of their fossil fuel assets in a bit to move towards a greener business plan, and appeal to world leaders who may want to invest in sustainable solutions.

The company will write off up to $17.5billion from the value of assets related to fossil fuels as the energy giant feels there will be a broader shift towards sustainable and green energy following the pandemic.

BP has also announced their plans to become a net zero emissions business by 2050.
