They are encouraging school children local to the race locations to submit their own environmentally conscious and sustainable designs to the electric motorsports company. Local schools will be given a ‘design toolkit’ to help children create their own designs. The submissions will be judged in accordance with 4 categories:
– Circular economy (the reusing and upcycling of natural materials)
– Creativity
– Technicality
– ‘Extreme E factor’ (impactful and emotive).
The winner will not only receive a replica of their design, but also see it in real life being awarded to the winner of the electric motorsports Season 1 X Prix when it goes live next year.
Applications are open until the 31st of December 2020 (11:59 GMT) and winners will be notified by the 31st of January 2021.
