Free Trees by Woodland Trust Open to Schools for 2021!

Applications are now open for the Woodland Trust’s Free Trees for schools and communities giveaway.

Schools, colleges, universities and any form of community group that wants to plant one of the free trees can apply online for March 2021.

The Woodland Trust introduced the free giveaway in a bid to see millions more trees planted across the UK by 2050, and to make sure everyone who wants to get involved has the opportunity to do so.  Applicants can choose up to 4 free packs, which include seeds to create hedges, copses, wild harvests, all year colour blossoms, wood trees, and plants that are suitable specifically for wildlife or urban areas.

Rewilding has become a popular topic of conversation in recent weeks, with Sir David Attenborough calling for the ‘rewilding of Earth’ as one of the most important solutions for the current global environmental crisis.

If you miss out this time, don’t worry! The Woodland Trust provide two drops a year, one in March and one in November… so keep a look out for their next application window!
