The library contains more than 6,000 books available to the public!

Bin workers in Ankara, Turkey, have opened a library full of books that had been thrown out with other waste collected on their rounds.

Rather than dispose of the books, the team rescued them over a few months and opened the library inside their headquarters. When locals realised what they were doing, they also began to donate unused books and the library now contains over 6,000 books.

The department has also installed a lounge area for members of the public to come to read, and will loan books out to schools and prisons.
