He decided to stay at the track to support organisers in litter picking as part of him commitment to helping the environment.

Aston Martin F1 team driver, Sebastian Vettel, was spotted helping to clean up the popular Abbey Grandstand with events stewards… after taking part in a 52 lap race in track temperatures reaching over 52 degrees!

The four-time F1 world champion is an ambassador for the BioBienenApfel project, which creates new bee habitats, and has spoken in the past about his passion for sustainability.

In 2019 Forumla 1 announced it’s first ever sustainability strategy which includes targets to make the switch to net zero powered cars by 2030, low carbon travel, 100% renewable working spaces, greener transfers to the race for fans and fan facilities that are better for nature.

Though Seb was disappointed with his race performance on Sunday, eventually retiring,  we here are very proud of his performance off the track for the planet… what a hero!
