The Prince’s Unusual but ‘Sustainable’ Fuel…

Did you know a car could run on cheese and wine?!

Prince Charles has announced that he runs his car on wine and byproducts from the cheese industry.

The Aston Martin has been converted to be powered by surplus English white wine, and waste whey from the process of creating cheese.

The ingredients are blended together to produce a bioethanol fuel, mixed with 15% unleaded petrol.  This, however, is not a sustainable solution on a larger scale, as although the car’s carbon output is reduced, the practice can contribute to deforestation and land use changes.
