The Nature for Life Hub will provide a virtual space for global audiences to present and discuss various environmental issues. Hosted by the UNDP (United Nations Development Programme), UNEP (UN Environment Programme) and CBD (Convention on Biological Diversity), this open event will run over the course of 4 days and convene leaders, speakers, young people and local authorities to address 4 key themes: the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), sustainable business and finance, global response to climate change, and the global impact of local action in environmental development.
The Hub has identified 5 fundamental aims of the event: ‘transform financial systems’, ‘strengthen governance and rule of law’, ‘transform global consumption and production systems’, ‘catalyse systemic change’, and ‘mobilise demand for action’.
The Hub will be broadcast live on social media and will also be available online on-demand.
